Crimes Against Design
I found that the Barbican was like a concrete maze and finding your way to where you wanted to go could be tricky. This was addressed with a yellow line which is supposed to to lead you to the Barbican centre and around the estates maze. However the yellow line has faded and is no longer as visible or understood by people.
Looking at the rest of the Barbican centre and the visual identity, I created a sign which could potentially be fit to the concrete curbs around the pathways, giving the metres to each destination in the Barbican. The sign was created by engraving perspex and using a heat gun to bend it to the angle of the concrete curb.
